• 5 Ways to Radiant Skin this Winter!

A snuggly, comfortable and late morning is the perfect start to a winter day. But unfortunately winters also bring about skin problems that are unique to it. The once-upon-a-time-glow is gone with the summers leaving behind dry, dull and chapped skin! Add some extra TLC to your skincare regime to show it that you care. Nobody likes flaky skin or cracked lips. But how do you tackle the winter woos with such little time and so much to do? Here are a few tips:.

5-Ways-to-Radiant-Skin-this-winter

  1. Go the opposite way to turning the heat up:
This is strictly in terms of a shower. It is incredibly tempting to have a hot water bath during the winters but keeping the water luke warm and not hot will help your hair and skin. Hot water baths are said to remove moisture from the skin making it drier. Also, try to avoid really long baths (at a lower water temperature it might not be such a tempting idea anyway!). Long baths affect the skin adversely (see the wrinkles on your fingers after a very long soak?).
  2. Products that compliment your skin:
This is really the core skin care that you can indulge into. The market is full of products that may or may not suit you. Do not judge the book by its cover. You have to 100% sure that a product works for you before you start using it on a daily basis. Get a small sample pack to try out before buying the monthly stock. Read the ingredients in the products and choose the ones which are all natural and herbal in nature. You really don’t want the complication of harmful chemical rashes on your skin apart from the winter dryness now, do you?
  3. Humidify
A simple way to a radiant skin in the winters is to invest in a humidifier. It can be a compact one and placed wherever you spend the most amount of your time. It retains the moisture in the air which helps your skin by not drying it out.
  4. Use oil based make up:
Cut out on the bronzers (too much of it makes people look like they have another skin on their faces) and start applying good quality, preferably oil based, foundations for daily wear.
  5. Diet
A good diet is important no matter what season it is. Keep your skin and body hydrated by including vegetables in your diet. Yellow and orange coloured vegies have maximum vitamins that your body needs during winters.
