Winters are a dream come true for the truly romantic at heart. What a lovely picture to be snuggled in a cosy blanket perhaps in front of a fireplace and sipping on hot chocolate? Whether this picture comes to life as often as one may like is a question for later. Of course you would still like to be prepared for the winters, at least in the form of having all your skin care essentials in place. But wait, do we have a list of winter skincare must haves? Well, now we do:

Winter-Care-Must-Haves

Moisturizing Cream and / or Mask: Dry skin is an immediate winter hazard that needs to be tackled with. Whether you are the kind to invest in a body cream and a face mask separately is up to you. But the first essential is a good moisturizer. The kind that can sit on your dresser through the winter months and provide you with protection on a daily basis. What is better you ask? The many fragrances that these moisturizers are available. Create an immediate oomph for yourself with locking in as much moisture in your skin as you can.

Oil Cleansers and Body Balm – If the winter is particularly harsh where you are, then investing in oil based cleansers and body balms are a good idea too. These used after a deep pore scrub provide the ultimate cleansing.

Eye Masks – Eye masks are usually recommended to firm up the skin around the eyes but during winters they help protect this area very well. Remember, you do not cover your eyes as much as you should so this is definitely in the essentials list.

Hand Cream – you can carry a small pack of your favourite hand cream in your purse and apply it before getting into an important event (including just a casual lunch with your girlfriends). It keeps the hands from looking too dry and all the rings and hand accessories are hence highlighted well.

Luminizer – This is perhaps not a very traditional essential but a luminizer will help cover the pale winter skin. It provides a glamourous demeanour even when the sun isn’t around to give you one naturally. The available options include some lovely vitamin packed luminizers that help protect the skin too.

Others – This list includes a good lip balm (preferably with a good flavour and taste) to be used on a casual day, a rosy blush to go over the luminizer for events and a night cream which can provide hydration.
